The personal development of our students is taking place every moment they are with us. Our programme aims to allow the student to develop a positive self-image and a commitment to the College and the wider community. It also makes a substantial contribution to meeting the College’s commitment to developing Citizenship.
A wide ranging programme of Social and Personal Education is taught, mainly by the form tutor, who knows the students well. The programme includes units related to birth, adolescence, maturation, personal and sexual relationships, and the family. Other units consider health education, citizenship, economic and industrial awareness, computer literacy, environmental awareness, study skills, careers and vocational guidance, work experience and progress file.
