New York Design study visit

On 20th March, nineteen A level Design students and two members of staff set off on the Design annual study visit, this year to New York, the aim of the study visit was to:

  • To gather significant and stunning research material for their A-level course work.
  • To view major works of Art and architectural sights.
  • To give the student the opportunity to experience different cultures.

The study visit was a huge success, wonderful artwork and architecture was studied, hundreds of photographs were taken, hundreds of steps walked around the city and hundreds of pounds spent in the shops!

Some student comments........

“MOMA was huge and full of famous art, it blew my mind” Therron

“I really enjoyed looking at the building and how Brooklyn bridge was engineered” Jim

“Before this trip I didn’t realise the cultural differences between New York and Britain. I appreciate the impact 9/11 had on New York after visiting ground zero” Eva
