Boy's Writing Club Paintball Trip

As part of a project organised and funded by the Leicestershire Education Authority, we have put together a boy’s writing club.

This is designed to help its members gain a greater enjoyment of and engagement with English.

This month, the boy’s writing group visited SAS paintball. Each team worked as a unit, using group communication and clever tactics to outsmart the enemy. This culminated in a no-holds-barred shootout. By the end of the day, the boys were tired, covered in paint and in extremely high spirits!

This experience then provided the club’s members with first-hand experience that they could draw upon when writing a war story. The boys’ stories were fantastic, clearly demonstrating their new appreciation of a soldier’s perspective.
