Year 10 Mock Interviews

Over 30 volunteers from local and national businesses, including Aggregate Industries, Pallex, British Gas, Future cycles, Leicestershire City Council, Evolve, Maxjam Music, and Sytner Audi gave up their day to help our students make the most of their futures.

All of our Year 10 students took part in a mock interview process.  The opportunity to speak to real employers in interview conditions expands students’ confidence, which will help them to perform better in future interviews for sixth form, university, apprenticeship and employment.

After preparing for their mock interview in PSHE lessons, our year 10 students arrived incredibly smart and well prepared to meet with their interviewers.  Feedback was given to each student which outlined their performance. Students also received a certificate to show that they had completed the interview successfully.  Students in year 10 said; “It helped me gain interview confidence”, and “They were really interesting and gave me some good advice for the future”. Students left the interview feeling a lot more confident, with more understanding of the interview process.

The interviewers praised our students on how well they had prepared, their confidence and their smart appearance.

We are currently in the process of working with businesses, such as Aggregate Industries, Pallex and Audi to discuss apprenticeship opportunities for students who wish to enrol on an apprenticeship scheme in the future.

Thank you to our volunteers who gave up their time to make the day a huge success.
