Open Evening Success

Thank you to those parents who were able to attend our Open Evening. It was a great success.  We will also be holding two evenings at Newbridge and Castle Rock about the process of transferring to Upper School.

The first of these will take place at Newbridge on Monday 6th October starting at 6.00pm.  The second evening will be held at Castle Rock on 7th October at 6.00pm.  Both evenings will last for one hour.

Former students from each high school will assist with the presentations and there will be time for questions.  To assist our planning with the high schools, please complete the reply slip below and return it via your child to their high school by Wednesday 1st October 2014.

We have planned to hold an Open Morning on Thursday 2nd October at 9.30am.  We will now hold an extra Open Morning on Thursday 9th October.

Comments from the evening:

The Smith Family (Castle Rock High School)

Every student we met was courteous,  friendly, passionate about the subject they were talking about and seemed very confident and happy with the school. Staff were lovely and gave us their time and advice on what choices our daughter (Ella) should take when she attends Kind Edward next year.  All their comments have helped our daughter with her subject choices. We thought the science (Ella's favourite subject) was superbly set up so she could really experience what to expect.  English teachers were a pleasure to meet and chat with and we are now going to see a Shakespeare play on their recommendations !

Thanks to all who organised this event as both our daughters are excited about joining you all over the next two years, as are we.

The Wright Family

My daughter came here and has continued on into the Sixth Form. She has really enjoyed success here. I am a teacher myself and I am really pleased with the support Jasmine has received from her teachers.
