lockdown Cake Decorating Competition

In June, there was an air of anticipation and enthusiastic excitement as year 10 food students took part in a remote learning cake decorating competition.

Students baked and decorated their cakes at home and had a free choice of what theme to choose. The competition was judged jointly by Mrs Hodges and Mrs Lyons who were amazed by the quality of the entries and just regretted that they couldn't taste or smell the cakes and biscuits!

The overall winner for the cake category was Keira  who hand made all her mermaid tail decorations.

Joint second place went to Taylor and Oliver who both had very elaborate and professional looking cakes.

The overall winner for the biscuit category was Lily for her beautiful colours and intricate piping.

We look forward to seeing you all back in school before too long!
