This morning we were visited by Leicestershire Cares, an award winning organisation who's mission is to help business sectors around the county to better understand their local community, and to help inspire young people joining the workforce. Today Leicestershire Cares visited King Edward VII to help inspire our year 10 students, many of whom will soon be entering the work force, by conducting mock interviews with the students.
This provided many of the year 10's with their very first experience of being interviewed, which as they learned today, is a very important skill when entering the workforce, and moving forward into their future careers. As most of them had not taken part in an interview before, many of them were apprehensive at first, however they ultimately found the experience rewarding, as they learned from the interviewers how best to approach interviews in the future, leaving the sessions more hopeful about their post study lives. For taking the time to interview our year 10 students we owe Leicestershire Cares a huge debt of gratitude, as they have helped inspire the students of King Edward VII into understanding the importance of the interview process, and have learned from their experiences today, which is surely pay off when they ultimately undertake their very first job interview.
