Positively MAD Exam Techniques Workshop

Students in year 11 attended an exam revision workshop on the morning of Thursday 30th November, hosted by Jay from 'Positively MAD'.

Jay spoke to students about different revision techniques, that will help them to get through their GCSE's. There was laughter across the hall as Jay engaged the students with jokes related to school. This helped the students to remember what was being said.

Jay encouraged the students to take part in activities which tested the students skills, and to help them strenghen their revision skills. For example, Jay placed a long extract on the screen, and asked students how long it would take for them to remember every last word. All of the students raised their hand when Jay said; "Would it take you longer than your school year to remember this whole extract". He then told the students that he could memorise the whole extract in six minutes by breaking it down, and creating a spider diagram with all of the key points in the extract.

All of the students found Jay's advice really useful, and many said that they would try out the revision techniques that he suggested, to help with their exams. Thank you to Jay for putting on a really funny and enjoyable assembly, and for helping out our year 11 students before their exams.
