Rainbows Colour Run

The Student Leadership Team have organised a charity Colour Run on Tuesday 11th July, to raise money for Rainbows, the children's hospice based in Loughborough, which provides vital palliative care for sick children and supports their families.

Our annual Sports Day is taking place on Tuesday 11th July. This is a fantastic day of healthy competition, team building and lots of fun. At the end of the day, the Student Leadership Team have organised a charity Colour Run to raise money for Rainbows, the children's hospice based in Loughborough, which provides vital palliative care for sick children and supports their families. Based on the Hindu festival of Holi, the Colour Run will involve running or walking five times around the sports field (5km). At set intervals, coloured powder paint will be thrown at the runners/walkers. By the end, they will be completely covered in paint.

We are charging entrants £4 which will cover the cost of paint and a donation to Rainbows. Students will need to bring old, preferably light coloured, clothes. We cannot promise that the paint will wash out from these clothes. They also need to bring an old pair of sunglasses or goggles to protect their eyes, clean clothes to change into afterwards and a plastic carrier bag to put their stained clothes in to bring home. We cannot allow students to take part unless they bring these items with them.
