The work of the Pastoral and Progress Office

    • Pastoral and Progress Leaders work with students, parents, carers, teachers and other agencies such as social care or police, on student welfare, safety, attendance, progress and achievement.
    • They will support your child throughout their two years at Key Stage 4 to ensure that they maximise their potential.
    • All staff in the pastoral and progress office will deal with telephone calls relating to absences, medical appointments, emotional concerns, specific home circumstances etc. and they will forward and share information as appropriate and ensure that the relevant person deals with it.
    • The assistant student managers deal with day to day issues and work alongside the pastoral and progress leaders to support students, parents, carers and teachers to find solutions.
    • The Inclusion Co-ordinator specifically deals with students who have some form of additional educational provision either on or off site.  Mr Marvell monitors and tracks the progress and attainment of these students. The college ensures that all transport, attendance and welfare aspects are operating effectively.
    • Mrs Botterill works across Key Stage 4, while Miss Aylmer is specifically responsible for Year 10 and Mrs Pallett is responsible for Year 11.
    • The Vice Principal will  be responsible for the strategic leadership of the pastoral and progress team.
    • The Principal, as in all aspects of College work is accountable to the Governing Body for all aspects of this work.
