I wanted to drop you a line to say how fantastic the students were this afternoon and how impressed we all were with their presentation, especially the Q&A session at the end. I am delighted to present a cheque for £5000 from our Worthy Causes fund to assist with the Art of Being Brilliant project.  We look forward to learning of your progress.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your students and to challenge our managers with Mission Impossible last Friday. I was very impressed with the attitude of your students and would appreciate you passing on my thanks to everyone involved in making the day such a success.

I am writing to say a very big 'Thank you' for the lovely lunch you provided for some of our residents, they really enjoyed getting out and having lunch with your students and they were really touched when the students waved goodbye to them. Please pass on our thanks to your students for organising the event.

    Thank you once again.

Last Friday afternoon I lost control of my car due to the icy road. I was lucky not to hit anyone. Some of your KS4 boys came over to see if they could help. There were about half a dozen of them and they were concerned that I was OK and could contact someone to come and help me. I was very touched and wished I had taken their names. If you know the boys concerned, please pass on my immense gratitude for their concern, consideration and attitude.

    Re: Local Flooding

Many neighbours were out at the corner of Meadow Lane this lunchtime trying to assist property owners who had water in their homes. We were very touched when two of your lads came round and offered to help. Many youngsters get unjustly vilified these days and I thought their action did much to show that young people do care. I am only sorry I cannot identify them.

This week I was privileged to be at a presentation given by students from King Edward VII on “The Art of Brilliance”... It was truly an honour to meet such an optimistic and ambitious group of students who are clearly so dedicated to having a positive impact on their school community. With such role models I feel there is so much to be proud about in our younger generation.

Please accept our sincere gratitude to you and your staff for kindly supporting our students on a placement for their Sports course. They are now able to complete this unit of their course.

I’m delighted to say that we have offered one of your students a place on the Gifted and Talented Science Society School. We received over 80 applications for just 20 places.

Please can you pass on to your students my thanks and admiration for their level of skill and commitment to the Arts Festival. They are a credit to the college and a very good role model for our pupils.

Having rather rushed to attend the Development Group 22 Arts Festival, it was a pleasure to sit quietly and let some Charles Dickens wash through, at and over the mind.   How right teachers were to focus on that towering genius of an author. It was good to re-discover the way in which drama work at all levels of schools with the development group is given a proper place and importance. Thank you for that.

    Mr M Dyer, Governor KEVII

Thanks for the support on Tuesday. The intervention and departmental information you gave me was very useful and we look forward to more faculty links between schools.
