    Dorset Fieldwork trip

The year 12 Geography AS students recently visited Dorset as part of their studies. Dorset 2013This included visits to Swanage (where they stayed), Weymouth, Chesil Beach, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Boscombe Bay. Unfortunately the cold wet weather made fieldwork difficult but the group worked very well throughout. Every evening they worked until around 8:30 pm, and as work started at 9am it was tiring but very worthwhile.

Students are now writing up their work and are preparing a display. They are actually examined on fieldwork techniques and the results they get, so this work is vital for their examination. However if they enjoyed it along the way it is always a bonus. The big difference this year, compared to previous years is that nobody bought ice creams. I wonder why?
